In WvW, where I have 2646 power, the tooltip for natural convergence listed the damage numbers as 471 and 1257, respectively.

In PvP, where I have only 2225 power, the numbers listed are 652 and 1739.

Is this a bug? I don’t understand why they’re different, unless the skill received a nerf/buff pertaining to only one area of the game.

Haven’t checked this personally but it’s probably balanced differently for SPvP than it is for PvE and WvW.

I think it’s an oversight from the devs. There’s no reason whatsoever that this skill should deal less damage in pve vs pvp! Up the damage in pve.

I’d classify this one as yet another bug.

The numbers have been this way for some time as a similar thread was made over 6 months ago with the conclusion that anet would likely nerf the pvp version if the issue was pressed to make the numbers the same.

No reason for that, but yeah that’s the most probable scenario.

I’d classify this one as yet another bug.

I get the feeling since they are back to splitting PVE/PVP skills again, Anet will just label this as part of the split. Easier for them so they don’t have to bother with it.

They do actually different dmg. In PvP you usually get 4+k crits on medium armor on last hit using demolisher/marauder and my opponent using one of the 2 as well, in WvW i get roughly 3k on last hit with quite a bit more dmg thanks to food and ascendes stats etc. Vs the same enemy with roughly the same stats
