[Suggestion] Added function to Spirits
I wish they ran the changes by us before implementing on live. we’re completely in the dark regarding trap, shout and spirit reworks. and knowing ANet’s capabilities, im very concerned.
Spirits totally need a destruct command, like turrets, especially if they cannot move.
I would really like Spirits to have a ground target so I can place them EXACTLY where I want them. As for adding a secondary function via right-clicking an icon, it would be a nice addition to utilities in general.
Would Anet do it? Most likely never, as that’s additional work for them to add more keybind options such as “Utility X Secondary.” Adding keybinds may not sound like a lot of work, but think about how it took Anet almost 3 years to add a keybind option for Ranger’s “Guard/Avoid Combat” and heading into HoT, Rangers still don’t have a keybind for “Stow/Activate” Pet.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.

A trick to placing spirits and pets exactly where you want: New pets will appear in the first open pet spot around you. If your current pet is in spot 2, the spirit will appear in spot 1.
Pet spot 1: Front left
Pet spot 2: Front right
Pet spot 3: Back left
Pet spot 4: Back right
Pet spot 5: Further front left
Pet spot 6: Further front right
Pet spot 7: Further back left
Pet spot 8: Further back right
Thanks for the trick. Never payed enough attention to that to realize there are spot priorities when summoning. It still does not erase my want for ground targeting my Spirits though. xD
The convenience of placing a Spirit where you want from as far as 600-1200 range would be a nice QoL to using them.

I was content with spirits in gw1. If they make effects of spirits stronger, and slightly tanky-we I think its work as a nice bunker/zone control tool in pvp. I was never a fan of moving spirits or the active abilities.
I feel the spirits should inflict a non- condition based effect for anyone in area similar to what frost spirit is now. Think of a field cards in trading games.
