[Suggestion] Directional Arrows on skills.
I agree with these. These are nice suggestions.
I am not sure I’m ok with that. Right now I just slam the LR button and I’m out of a bad situation, I don’t want to take half a second to aim it.
I think it would dramatically increases the time it takes to use the skills. And I’d probably have to download a new mouse cursor to even use them.
QS does suck though, as does the SB in general. LR-distance is a little extreme (I wonder if any melee classes could ever catch you at all?), but further than just walking backwards would be nice.

Right now if I get feared in a teamfight and I slam LR it forces me right back into the middle of nuclear explosion of current AoE DH Stun Burst action.

I disagree with your LR comment. LR is helpful in fights but more often than not I either: send myself over an edge accidentally, end up in twerking a cliff wall, or in another no-so-great position. I’d much rather take the 1/10th of a second to get myself in a optimum location.
I’ve wanted lightning reflexes to have aiming for a long time too.
For sword 2 not so much. Or maybe just the second half of the skill.
I disagree with this. Making these changes lowers the skill ceiling and the skill floor even more, something I don’t think this game needs any more of.. If you want directional skills now just detarget and rotate your camera.
Am I good?… I’m good.

Difficult to rotate if you are CCed.
Before anything, Hornet Sting needs an update to the activation time. It should be the same as Debilitating Arc on the thief staff.
I don’t like ground targeting/directional arrows in general, so for me it’s a no to this suggestion.

Lowers the skill ceiling? What?! Having to do an extra step to better position you is way better. Spinning around to cast Hornet’s Sting, spinning around again to cast Monarch’s Leap is time consuming and basically ends up going only slightly further than just running. Having the ability to aim forward while running forward would give sword so much more maneuverability.
Difficult to rotate if you are CCed.

I’m not big on the directional arrows idea. I like the idea of flexibility, but if I’m hitting the GTFO button, I want to do so immediately.

It would be a much, much better GTFO button if it went where you wanted. Sword #2 would be a much, much better GTFO button if you could actually cover good distance without having to flip your camera around like a spastic.
Hey just a heads up, if you want your skills to be a bit more skill based, which is what this sounds like, you can always change the camera view to an action camera (cursor is replaced with a reticle that changes the direction you are looking as you move the mouse). Maybe then you would have a more interactive experience instead of just pushing numbers as the skill comes available. Hope this helps!

Action camera is great for shooting the breeze or if you’re using a controller (which I have found is possible), but it will never be as good or responsive as classical keyboard and mouse. I would much rather the utilities be more skill-based rather than me having to change my control scheme just to make it more “skill-based”.

I don’t think that’s quite true. With dedicated use it would probably be quite good. It’s just so wonky for the typical mmo player though.

And still doesn’t solve the CC portion of the problem which is the main one.

Hornet’s sting doesn’t break cc.

He was refering to LR; breaking stun but ending him up in an even worse position. Having a directional arrow could at least end you up in a good position.
I would just like to point out how awesome it would be to have directional arrows on these skills.
Imagine:
Hornet Sting (forward), Monarch’s Leap (forward), LR (forward), weaponswap, Greatsword’s Swoop (forward).
Rangers could cover so much ground.

You don’t need to use facing on Lightning Reflexes because you don’t use it for merely movement. Well most of the time anyhow. No one is suggesting use action camera to make lightning reflexes more viable.
