There are times, and they are not that rare, that you don’t want the pet to be near you. You want it right next to your feet no questions asked.

So my request is simple. Make F3 (“return to me”) pet command do exactly that when pressed 2nd time in a row. One press = stick around me, 2 presses = heel at my feet.

An option to get my pet out of AoE?

Always felt that “Return to Me” should have the pet return right next to your feet and setting it on “Avoid Combat” should be the default behavior of lingering nearby. That said, it probably doesn’t need a 2nd button press.

I just had an idea, why not make F3 ground target if your pet is on passive and you just pick exactly where you want your pet.
Also make F4 toggle the pet’s active/passive state.

The machanic the OP is describing is roughly the way the skill should work now already. The reason why it doesn’t is because the server is controlling your pet and any slight lag will let your pet run past you.

I think he means he wants it closer. Right now it sits like 5 feet to the left in front of you, and presumably he wants it basically on his hitbox.

Even if the pet will be closer to you, that still wont fix the lag problem. My pet is constantly overshooting me by atleast 10 meters.
