Suggestions for pet QoL
Most of these requests been made over and over again since beta. Unfortunately, Anet doesn’t want to give us these QOL fixes, “for reasons unknown” (+1 awarded to the first person to tell me from which movie that quote came from).

Well Alien/Aliens i think it was.
As veteran on these forums i had seen this suggestion x-times.
I still want full control over pet skills as an OPTION to toggle on if you want to micro manage, and give it a ground target positioning skill instead of an “just come back out of trouble” command.

That’s what I assumed OG, and that’s really a bummer when QoL fixes can make the feel of classes much more helpful and exciting in the long run. Ranger has alot of good ideas from others that can positively impact the class more.
I really like your idea Insane, being able to use any of the pet skills when you want to. Would really help when you want to use their cc skills at the right time (when jade constructs go into protection mode), when you need that nice heal from moas as your hp is down, etc. Really, there’s alot of good ideas that can create more fun and strategy to a fight.
Keep in mind that any pet ability that comes under control of the ranger would inherently be nerfed because the ranger has control over when to use that ability. The smokescale changes a while back are an example of this.
Not saying its a bad idea, but it would be a rehaul. Can’t see it happening.

Yeah i can understand that. Just wondering, what other pet skills would have to be nerfed if it were to be considered? I could see the moa heal skill be a bit nerfed but not very sure about the rest.
After 4 years, the mindset of pets having their effectiveness further reduced if the player were to be able to have full control over their skills still lingers.

Haha yeah!
I think the best thing Anet could ever do to this game is close down the pvp section of the forum, since that’s where most (all) the crying comes from that keeps this game from reaching its full potential.
Yeah we can’t be allowed to control pet abilities, since that would bring another river of tears. Amazing that we are still allowed to control ONE ability. Should probably get nerfed as well.
