I don’t have the time to write out a detailed explanation at the moment, so I’ll get around to that later.

For now, feedback and constructive criticism would be appreciated.

I don’t feel like Sunless runes work well with Entangle. The immobilize neutralizes the effect of the fear.

Fear is not just about people running away its also and interrupt and a ‘stun’ of sorts. immob just means they are running on the spot.

Also note that its harder to condi cleanse the immob if you’re feared as well. Combined with the shortbow, you’ll be able to dish out lots of bleeds from flanking.

As for general feedback…
You should trait into Moment of Clarity to double the fear duration (which if further increased by your condition duration). Your critical chance is way too low to proc Sharpening Edge, and you have 0 stun breaks.

If you really want to use Sunless Runes, heres something I’m planning to use after the patch.

The fear from Sunless Runes on this build will last 3s. Meaning you’re able to dish out bleeds by flanking with Crossfire. If you don’t have an Asura, simply replace Technobabble for any of the Survival Skills.

And why would I take it for roaming ? Instead of going power or Regen Bunker/other condi build ?

Sunless runes are okaaay I guess… You’ll have 1.75 second fear every 48 seconds and poison, which you already have. But isn’t it better to just take the Wolf and manually fear in AoE for 2-3 seconds with no gear investment?

It’s just hard for me to think of situation on WvWvW small scale/roaming (because you won’t zerg with it, right?) where I could make that fearing Entangle shine. Entangle itself is pretty legit for CC.

I have SotF slotted.

Fury bumps my crit chance to 49% and I think that’s more than enough to proc sharpened edges.

Im just not sure sunless runes are good enough to even use. Currently u have a lot of condition removal, so the -15% duration on 2 spots seems really weak. Also, is the 6 on the rune even worth it? Its just a bit of extra poison coverage, hardly seems worthy of a 6 spot, and only if your really lucky interrupting something worth interrupting, because the stomp is not quick enough to act as an active interrupt.

it’ll be good to keep up with the long cooldowns , and it;ll help keep 1-2sec and 3secs chills down.

everything else , on survial becomes panic buttons.
when the new entangle comes out with the 60sec cooldown , it might be worth it then.

as you can also use a signet , like SoS to become very tanky for a short time.
my opion atm is its ok but not great , it’ll be better for sure after the future patch.

the fear maybe helpful in one situation is when you cast entangle the vines root , but theres already aoes that would insta kill the roots, then hoping the duration of the fear kicks in at the same time forcing them to use a stun break , then to get re-rooted. damage, support wise not great, but it could force a extra stun/utlity to be used but very unlikly , if it does work it would give you some breathing space.

try this , its much more beefy with its condis, it would allow you to use your pet as a poison source if your being chased/pressures , swap pet to your side and then attack the chaser without needing to use any heavy attack skills.

not sure if sharpening stones shares the cooldown though , if not not much of a problem.

as i see the 10% in marksman was to only get the bleed duration on auto sb to 5secs, and two geomancy i’d think would be too much over kill on this version as you can shot gun a lot of damage on multipul bunched foes rather than damage/bleed.
