I dont have these runes but these are the apparent stats.

Curious is anyone can think of the intended use of them.

All I got is pretty decent for a condition build, helps with condition removal which can be an issue for rangers and the #6 could work nicely with entangle (to prevent people dodging it/hold them in there for a second while you stun or CC them again).

Crit damage seems a bit out of nowhere but oh well.

1) +28 condition damage
2) -10% condition duration
3) +55 condition damage
4) +4% critical damage
5) -10% condition duration
6) When you use an Elite skill you inflict fear for 1 second on nearby foes.

Adds an extra control ability to your elite, I see no problem in using them. I tried out a control build once and it helps agaisnt gc players and thats about it.

3 runes of melandru + 3 runes of sunless would be nice for a WvW condi spec, trading some condi dmg for -20% condi duration.

If it was +20% condition duration I would be very interested, but this seems a bit underwhelming. Entangle also has a 3/4 activation time, so if the fear triggers instantly, Entangle might miss.

Only if the target is at the very edge of the AoE and they run out of the Entangle AoE

Otherwise, I see it as a very good way to make sure Entangle actually hits, assuming that the Fear is at the start.

Looks great for pvp??
