Take 5 points into Precision and then swap weapons while in combat.

There is also the signet that increases movement speed but not as good as swiftness. You can also use Rampage as One as it gives you swiftness.

Personally I gave up on the Warhorn. Having only 2 main hand weapons is a pain and I can’t get a build together with those. So I just use a Greatsword and Long/Shortbow.

I still miss the speed buff on my warhorn, though, and there should be another speed buff for Rangers.

There’s definitely room for improvement in our utilities. It would be nice if one of our shouts filled this role or our movement speed signet offered more speed out of combat.

That’s plain ridiculous.

Rangers are already extremely mobile in combat, there isn’t room for more in their kit.

If you are talking about out of combat boosts…kittenI agree so much. I move like a slug and watch as every other class is speeding around me.

Solved the issue with 5 points in Skirmishing, Off-hand Training and Warhorn, which works awesome as I am not using any two-handed weapons. But that might be too much of an investment by ranged DPS builds… I dont use those anyway.

I second this notion. My thief has a permanent 25 speed increase from a signet AND can activate Swiftness for two seconds on a dodge (which I can do fairly often). I don’t use Axe/Horn in combat, and would prefer to have a different combo in my second slot, but can’t take it out because otherwise my Ranger moves too slow. This has nothing whatsoever to do with combat maneuverability, so the various effects that grant Swiftness in combat only (like the weapon swap trait or the Bird’s Swiftness buff) are useless here. This is about being able to get from A to B faster than the default speeds.

If necessary they could make the effect only work outside of combat (but there should be some lesser effect that would be available in combat).

I suggest Skirmishing 5 Minor trait to provide 5-10% bonus movement speed out of combat on top of Swiftness on Weapon Swap. :P
