Sword Ranger greatest enemy
Yup, I remember eating lava the first time I fought the Destroyer of Worlds in Sorrow’s Embrace because I was using a GS and used Swoop just as an enemy died.

I just wish the skill was reversed…have Monarch first and the leap back second. Would make it far more useful, as I find myself missing the GS swoop mechanic for entering combat.
You would lose out on the dodge if it were reversed. Unless the first skill remained relatively permanent. I.e., you leap in, then you have 30 seconds to leap out.
I prefer it the way it is.

It should toggle. No timed reverting to beginning of chain. This way you can use it to engage an enemy, then again when you want to leap out. Forces a little bit of planning. Pre load it out of combat for how you want it to begin.

I’d be ok with a permanent toggle.

The 1/2 cast of the skill reduces the effective use of that skill as evasion anyways. Besides, there’s already a defensive evade on Serpent’s Strike. At least if you put Monarch Leap first, the ranger would have some decent mobility for roaming in sPvP. =P
It doesn’t matter which order you have the leaps in, you cover the same distance. I use the duel leaps on recharge in PvP.

I keep seeing this…guess what, you’re not a unique snow flake better than anyone else. Many successfully use the sword. Still doesn’t change the fact that it’s chain-attack has a completely unnecessary risk shared by no other weapon or profession.
@Zorby, don’t hate me because it’s true. That’s why you keep seeing it. Obviously some of us are better. It’s ok, buddy. Relax. That’s how it is in the world. There’s always someone better than you and always someone worse. Take a few shots of your favorite whiskey, relax, and practice to get better with the main hand sword. Or, you can continue to be bad. Your choice.
