I know a lot of people wish it would be changed and I can see why you all would want it to be changed. Yet I actually like it and do not want to see it go bye bye.
I also ask the question is it even possible for that series of attacks to work without it rooting you? I mean in a fight where people are moving everywhere the leap would be more of a hassle then anything as I found out when trying to get the achievement in the new Trixx instance (where you destroy everything).
You try to attack something and when the leap part of the chain came into play it sent you flying missing what you wanted to attack.
I believe the semi-root is there for a reason as without it the chain would be totally broken.
