Guild Wars 2

So i’m quite new, lvl 11, and got this game on the recent sale.

Having fun but I’ve gone to the well known location for the forest spider and it just isn’t there:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrG9st8cosw

I’m at the right spot, see all the mobs that should be there, just not the tamable one. Has this since moved (all guides are quite old as if the video) do they only spawn every so often, or is there something else I should know (as in you have to wipe mobs a few times.

Any help most appreciated.

Using this link (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/List_of_pet_locations), I ported to the Helion Forest waypoint (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hellion_Forest).

There were 2 forest spiders right there.
I only charmed one. You can go get the other. heeh

They moved pretty much all tameable pets out of starter zones some time ago (I think there are one or two exceptions, but that’s about it). Something about not wanting to overwhelm new players or something, I dunno. It wasn’t met with a very good reception, but regardless, yah. You’ll need to look outside the 1-15 zones for pets.

For the record, Juvenile animals respawn about 30 seconds after they’ve been tamed, so you should have no trouble finding them in the locations they’re actually supposed to be in.

The only problematic pet is the wolf. Its in wvw and lot of players dont like to touch risky places

Crap…kinda wanted the wolf as well.

From what I’ve been reading this whole NPE experience they did with changing a ton of stuff for new characters was really ill thought out!

Depending on playtime and server the wolf isn’t too hard to get, just remember once you are there the other player are (see the link) and replace the word meat with bag or loot.

Wolves are found along the north edge of Umberglade Woods of the Eternal Battlegrounds. So if your server is Blue, then getting there is easier than if Green.
Red is not much more of a run.
Green is harder only because it is on the other side of the map.
