Here is something interesting i found in teq fight, whenever you get on the jump pads, your pet swap cd is reset even if its dead.
Though you should know (not sure if posted already)

I found this out too and became ecstatic we had a work around the dead pet in the fight, because I noticed that for the most part the pet stays up (assuming the turrets are doing their job and not leaving poison clouds all over tequatils feet).
