While testing out different weapons at the Fort in LA yesterday I finished with testing out my different pets as well. While testing a few interesting things happened.

My two birds (Eagle+Owl) consistently gave me Quickening Screech! (never noticed it before) How awesome is that? Every 20-30s I’d see a swirling shimmer go over my toon’s body (and of those nearby).

While testing my Brown Bear the oddest thing happened ONCE. The entire left side of my tool bar started shimmering in Purple (like purple flames) and I realized that I was getting the benefit of BITE. I’d never seen it before, idk if I’ll see it again.

It was interesting to see how well the ‘auto attack’ and the ‘F2’ attack performed as well is if the attack was a single or AoE effect. While my Birds, Cats and dogs out performed all my other pets on single targets my River Drake won its place on my Pet round up for hitting multiple targets with its bite (~475) and tail swipe (~2500). Oddly its tail swipe is more powerful now then its ‘F2’ effect!

Ok, so not to create yet another ‘Rangers are broken’ or ‘Pets are broken’ thread, it appears that we’d be fairly even more awesome if ALL of our pets actually did what they are listed to do. While the Drakes Tail Swipe is AWESOME and likely OP and will get nerfed – I’ve never seen where I gained health from its ‘Chomp’.
