Title is pretty self-explanatory. Ranger is just a total joke after the update (speaking in WvW terms). Quickening Zephyr and Rapid Fire is just ridiculous, combined with the fact that most rangers hide behind their allies or up on walls, making them severely overpowered. Sure, the ranger “didn’t get any buffs” earlier this year and was “deserving”, but really!? Now rangers are even cheaper than thieves.

P.S don’t tell me to L2P or to pop reflects or to evade it’s still ridiculous

But let me guess… you’re one of those players who claim 100b hits too hard if you don’t move.

The only real joke is that ANet now thinks “The class is fine, no adjustments needed” while our pets still prowl around being semi-useless in certain situations.

So, you reject all methods of counterplay because “you don’t want to” and then say, outside of all of the mechanics the game gives you to counterplay something, that it’s ridiculous when not using any of the counterplay methods you can use to try to counter something outside of the numerous and many given counters available.

Sure glad to see ANet supports mentally disabled people playing their game, let’s just hope no balancing suggestions are taken.

Just one dodge is enough to avoid all the damage from rapid fire. Not most of the damage, or some of the damage, but ALL of it. Keep that in mind when you complain. 1 single dodge. On the flipside, these rangers are pure glass, so as soon as you do your 1 dodge (yes its hard i know) their toast.

You know your name kinda seems similar to me either from the Thief or Warrior forums. I don’t bare any grudges, I just wonder. I do however fully agree with your comments, and also followed the link in your signiture. I was looking at the Tame Example part, and something was really bugging me. If iceman is made of ice, and he’s all muscley and kitten, why does he jiggle when he throws his attack? And also, can I make warriors juggle like that in wvw?

Seeing as this is wvw and not spvp, I dont think any ranger who isnt a bandwagon longbow at this time would be toast after one dodge (Unless youre playing a thief where you can teleport)

As for the original post, everyone here kittentainly understand the frustration… to say otherwise is lying to yourself. Should a ranger join a fight and be pinging you off from 1500 range, yes its annoying and who wouldnt want to vent.

The dodge will negate most of the rapid fire except maybe the 1st 2 hits – which is a lot and i do mean a lot less damage than an auto attack.

Reflects are nice but such a long cooldown so use it wisely… the best advice I can give you vs a ranger hiding behind his teammates – hide behind yours… odds are that ranger is not using piercing arrows.

too True i dare not use Piecing arrows , it greatly Increases your chances of hitting Said Reflect while shooting at someone that pulls back Behind a curtain.

the Piecing arrows combat style focuses on the far back target , but the main aim is to kill those Between your bow and the Target, using this in WvW will just get you killed faster while shooting into Zergs.

maybe great for some small scale group Roaming 4-10 but full on Zerg Nope.

I mained a warrior back when they were uber Fotm, way back when hambow was completely untouched, even though i never played the OG hambow. I got bore of easy mode and have mained a thief for the past ~5 months, up until Anet completely screwed over thieves. I’ve been playing S/F fresh air ele now ever since the patch and i have to say it is a blast. But ill likely go back to thief as soon as Anet gets their kitten together and fixes s/d and steal. I also made a ranger alt as soon as i saw the balance previews (lets be honest, who didnt) and just recently got enough tomes to get it to 80. plus i finally have a char with the super saiyan charr hairI do make it a habit to read over every forum tho, even if i just slim over it, as i love learning niche things people who haven’t played the class extensively wouldnt know.
