A Rangers Absolute maximum burst potential

This build here is one I crafted awhile ago, but after the latest patch has gotten a few things picked up survivability etc. Its focus is around you and your pet having lots of might and lots of hitting like a truck potential.

Traits:
30/25/5/10/0
Marksmanship: I, IX, XI
Skirmishing: VI
Nature Magic: V

The 5 in wilderness survival honestly can go wherever you feel fit if you want opening strike on daze in skirmishing go right ahead, or boon sharing, but I like endurance.

Utilities:
Healing Spring: Should be obvious a water field, Regen, and a condi cleanse.
Signet of the Hunt: For the Active
Signet of the Wild: For the Active
Signet of Stone/Lightning reflexes/QZ: I take stone for more might, and an invuln but its not crucial but please not you will sacrifice survivability.
Rampage As One: Very obvious choice stability, easy 25 stacks of might for you and your pet.

Weapons:
Greatsword/Sword/Warhorn

I choose not to use Longbow so I can blast my own water field, and pick up 2 evades, and a disengage plus more might for my pet. But if you really want your 3second stealth feel free. But again you are sacrificing survivability.

Sigils
Sigil of Fire, for an AOE fire blast that does some hefty damage.
Bloodlust on the sword, and personal preference on the warhorn

Gear:
For PvP: Runes of the Scholar, and full zerker.
WvW/PvE: Ruby Orbs, and a mixture of knights and zerker gear, same goes for the trinkets.

Obtaining Your Might
Basically For the initial burst assuming you are using warhorn as well you should be at 15 stacks of might base. Once you use RaO that number only goes up to 25 which is pretty easy to obtain.

Likewise, your pet through RaO should also be at 25 stacks of might easily, I myself have seen my Jungle Stalker hit 6k+ Crits

Running Low on HP

Warhorn 5 is a godsend in this scenario, we finally have a blast finisher, throw down your healing spring, blast it.

A block on the GS can save you

An Invuln from Signet of Stone

Evade on sword 2

Evade on Sword 3

Bursting Targets
The General Burst, is on the maul

10k from the maul on targets, and 5k+ from the Jungle Stalker

An instant 15k burst in the first hits.

So there’s the build enjoy.

In the attached picture, since it doesn’t show the combat log for my pet aswell, my pet hit a 5.6k crit, recorded on the medium golem.

And had my sigil of fire triggered, it can easily hit 2k as well unfortunately that time it didn’t :/

way i see it sigil of force on gs will do you a lot more then sigil of fire. other then that it really is a on trick pony. (which is okay for being burst build)

i would actually try to toss in some condition damage because with all the might stacks that are sticking on you we are talking serious addition to your dps

sigil of geomancy alone will net you more damage then sigil of fire. and since warhorn actually doesnt do anything for you what you do not get from RaO(besides blast finisher) torch might be an option.

other then that … the long cooldowns on sigils are really killing this build for me

It used to have condi dmg when maul was a massive bleed but now its vuln :/

I see where you are coming from with the cooldowns, I have been using the build for awhile so I have kinda figured out how to kill time while they come back up. it takes some getting used to for sure.
