The sPvP Pirate
This is a very interesting build, and not too far from what I’ve used before. I think I’ll give it a try since the meta has grown boring as hell for me.
Isn’t this a standard trap build, just pirate skin armor? xD

Exactly the same! Well, expect for the different, runes, traits, pets, weapons, amulet, combat style and elite.
lol jokes aside the best way I describe this build is a weirdly wonderful mix between engy bomb kit and Crank.
The entire dynamic changes when you don’t throw traps and have two mele main hands and on top of this it’s a hybrid build rather than pure condi – which is the best way of taking out bunkers. The amulet leaves you low on defense but the chain of evades, runes and high pressure work together to protect you.
Anyway, I suggest you give the the build a try and see for yourself!
Thank you for the question and I hope this answers it

y, no way a standard trap build..Nice video
I got all this compiled into a build for you. Although the video is REALLY worth watching to see how it’s played. I know what I’ll be speccing into immediately.
I like the idea of maintaining sword pressure to cripple foes in the traps. It’s a nice variation of the usual trapper build. good job!
Very entertaining. The music was great !
The build is interesting. You made a comment later in the film about the build making you overconfident. More accurate would be your skill level is making you over confident. You play very well.
I only play WvW roam so I don’t think this could be translated to that genre
Dunno bout the build but I will certainly dress in pirate gear and play pirate music next time I do SPvP.
Nice to see another hybrid damage build out there!! Quite a few differences from mine, but one things for sure, traps are being used to condition overload them like in mine xD
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna
Flashbacks to leveling. I’ve been trying to get a layered damage build triangulating in from the power side(longbow stubborn). Sort of realized our straight damage in the moment is sort of weak but we can use alot of cast time getting damage down in front of combat during and then leave it ticking on disengagement.
The one thing we do better than any other class is pre-cast hidden damage so we are free to micromanage our weapons while fighting. Which is a good thing because micromanage and sword go together.
