Was doing fotm lvl 38 with 3 rangers and ele. Went ok until we met fire shaman. Didnt manage. Other 3 rangers all with bear. Ele left. Tried for more than an hour. Then we got ranger number five. Also with bear. Guess what? We didnt manage. Asked for traits, elites that they used. No answer.

Done fotm lvl 38 with four rangers and ele before. Went like a breeze.
Moral of the story: you tell me.

There you were with players that weren’t good, had nothing to do with the professions chosen.

Moral of the story: Get a regular fotm group and run with them.

Pugging is much like playing russian roulette, except you get shot in the head every time that it’s your turn.

The ranger class is quite weak in a sense that someone mindlessly playing a guardian/warrior/whatever with a kitten build is going to still be doing more than a ranger mindlessly playing a kitten build. When pugging, expect that the majority of people joining are complete potato. Getting a spotter/frost ranger pug is like a needle in a haystack. Great when you can find one, terrible when you cant.

actually, moral of the story: people who don’t know what they’re doing are surprisingly, bad at the game. I’d die instantly if I ever did fractals, but in wvw that’s another story.

What a shame, because normally ranger is such a strong profession for the shaman :/
