There is a balance issue here
Put it in a Balance thread, and what the damage increases you must of been running away from him or else it would not increase in damage.
best bet now would be do as most other classes do , have one offensive weapon set and a Defence option.
correction 1 leap if it was gs or sword and poor luck with the blob, just note this game is guild wars not solo wars, you lost out because he had a group.
if he was on his own im sure you could of killed him.
Ya! Let’s only use stances! Yay! Balance!
PS. The log shows that I obviously blocked.
Do you know anything about glass rangers? Have you ever laughed at a LB ranger in WvW?
Let’s do this. I’ll run a berserker amulet warrior of my choice and you run a berserker amulet LB ranger of your choice and we’ll see who wins. Ok?
Edit: Actually scatch it, I’ll run the berserker warrior meta and you run the ranger berserker meta to take any bias out of this.
Heres what happened. Glass Ranger meets Glass Warrior on the battlefield. Glass Ranger opens with RF. Glass Warrior tries to block the Rangers burst, but blocks too soon, allowing the Ranger to land a couple of RF shots on him. Since the Warrior is pure Glass, he didn’t bring any Stability Utilities. So now the Ranger follows with a PB shot. You then try to run away because you were unable to initiate your busrt correctly. Since I see the ‘Skill recharging’ in your combat log, one can only assume that you were trying to use the Greatsword to flee/escape. Which allowed the Ranger to simply pew pew you down while you ran away.
Suggestion, get in the Rangers face and be the Warrior you have always dreamt to be. Fight to the death and quit running away like every other Warrior I come across….

So because one build in one profession can’t win in a 1v1 against one build of one other profession there’s a balance issue?
I mean, the game hasn’t been balanced around 1v1 for it’s entire duration. That’s what I was told early on when a thief’s backstab took away my elementalist’s entire health pool. That’s what I was told when warriors one hundred blades removed my entire health pool. That’s what I was told when Dhuumfire necromancers were condi bombing my elementalist 100-0 in a matter of seconds.
I’m no expert on warrior, but I do know they have a trait that turns all their blocks into reflects. If countering rangers means so much to you couldn’t you invest in that?
Also, if you’re asking for warrior buffs why did you post it in the ranger forum?
Any more reflection in the game would be bad, there is already a ton of it. More reflection would make projectile weapons a hazard to own …already quite close.

The best part is the highly skilled OP wasn’t even killed by the buffed RF which he blocked, he was killed by the normal longbow skills, and is still complaining.
Glass warrior (sword/axe, axe/sword) vs glass longbow ranger – who wins? Ranger, unless you’re running a build specifically designed to destroy longbow rangers.

Basically, balance would be good.
Balance isn’t “I should be able to counter anything and everything with the one build I like to run.” That is horribly unbalanced.
Balance is having to make choices, strengthening yourself against certain builds at the cost of weakening yourself against others. Then recognizing the situations where you’re weak and allowing teammates to handle those, while you take the lead in situations where you’re strong. Basically rock, paper, scissors, except in more dimensions and with teammates.
“So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

guy takes melee glass cannon into chaotic eotm blob. guy gets rekt. guy blames game balance.
Warrior has access to reflects pretty easily on several offhands if you bother to trait for it.
Also, why is it a balance issue if a full zerker ranger beats a full zerker warrior? Why is it the god given right of the warrior to win such a fight?
I’m sorry but with so many leaps, excellent stability access, decent reflects and plenty of CC.. Warriors are probably the best class to take on a LB ranger with. You can’t just run any build you want and expect to win any fight thought. It’s like making some super awesome build which has no condition removal then QQing that conditions are OP… No.. You just haven’t planned to deal with them which is entirely your fault.
Gunnar’s Hold
The long range shot damage have the same damage at maxium so it was like that for the last 2 years and nobody cared because everybody just underestimated this class and all were playing Condi specs instead of power.
… just note this game is guild wars not solo wars, you lost out because he had a group.
