I’m not 100% sure how we could get this to work, but I was thinking with our traits we could change around the stat distributions and a few traits. The top line (Marksmanship) instead of giving power and condition duration, change it so it gives Power and Pet Attribute Bonus’s. Then make the bottom line (Beastmastery) give Healing Power and Condition Duration. I know this messes with the ‘Class Specific trait line at the bottom’ but I think it would do more good than bad.
This way if we want to go full damage we aren’t ‘hindered’ by our class mechanic, because if we want to start hitting more so do our pets.
Also traits would have to be slightly changed a bit.
- Our offensive pet skills (+30% pet crit damage/ speed, might on crit, pets gain might when swapped) move to the Marksmanship line.
- The signet traits (gain 3 stacks of might when activating a signet, recharge faster, gain signet actives) move to the skirmishing trait line.
- The trap traits could either move to the new ‘Beastmastery’ trait line or go to the Wilderness Survival Line.
That’s all I have at the moment, but I think doing something like this would benefit the class greatly.
Renaming the trait line ‘Marksmanship’ to something like ‘Companionship’ or something to give the feel thakittens a line for you and your pet.
