I wanted a WvW solo/Zerg support and I think this might work. What are your thoughts? Feedback appreciated

You don’t have enough condi removal. I don’t think you’ll be happy with shortbow range in a zerg either. LB has WAY more range.

Funnily enough conditions always get me how would I get more condition removals without changing my whole build ?

And would it be good just to switch my shortbow to a long now when I’m in a Zerg and switchback while soloing ?

Sure, SB is fine for roaming. It can work in zergs too, I just think you’ll like the range a lot more.

Most people use empathic bond or survival of the fittest for their condi removal. So an extra two points in to one of those paths.

Since you’re using signets, you’ll want to go with EB, as you have no survival skills to trigger SotF.

You might even find you don’t need SoR anymore and could take SotW. Although you wouldn’t have a stun breaker if you did that…

Wow that’s a great idea! I love rangers an I want to be one of those good rangers in WvW lol but yeah I will go for that Plus when this new ranger update comes out I won’t need that trait that allows signers to affect me which will be a nice bonus

I’d swap out sig. of the hunt in group, because swiftness is abundant in those. I really like lightning reflexes, stunbreak, evade, and repositioning with a low cd. When zerging, swap your heal to healing spring for the long lasting water field. The gear seems a bit too defensive in my opinion, having some more precision/ critical damage wouldn’t hurt. I’m also not a big fan of the runes. If you have trouble with conditions, maybe get some melandru runes? They are expensive, but really great. To compensate the loss of tanky gear, an energy sigil on the gs could suits you. That’s just nitpicking, the build does work, even more so when signets will work on their own. Have fun!

Well I only have the 3rd skill a signet because of my trait line giving me might when I activate one maybe I should swap for LR it is good skill when I think of it

Yeah, a few might isn’t that great compared to another utility imo. Also, lb is better in zergs, but it’s lacking in close quarters fight. Depending on how good axe is after the patch it could be a viable alternative.

For extra condition removal:

• Empathic Bond
  Drop Signet of the Beastmaster or Two-handed training and put the points into Wilderness Survival line.
• Brown Bear
  The condition removal is pretty good. 2 conditions every 25 seconds for up to 5 people.

Something to consider:
You could drop Signet of Stone and Signet of the Beastmaster and replace it with Protect Me. Less reliable, yes, but it has a shorter cooldown and it’s also a stunbreaker. Then use the trait points to get Empathic Bond.
(replace Protect Me with Signet of Stone at the next balance update in a month or 2)

As much as I would love to try the axe I’m afraid my love for the Great sword is to big to change it haha

Would replacing the soldiers armour with Knights armour be better then Oxtred?

Full knight will lack some power. My ranger isn’t geared for www ( that’s my next thing to do), but I know my guard is doing well with knight trinkets+ 2 ptv and 4 zerker pieces. That’s probably a bit squishy for a ranger without good mitigation, but getting at least 3 berserker pieces would help boosting your dps. I’d say just buy the ptv armor and then adjust depending on how good you become at surviving. Remember that applied fortitude gives 2,5k health.

Buying new gear isn’t that expensive if you’re running dungeons a bit (bah pve!), so start with defensive gear and switch out after. Good luck with your build!

Alright there it is I think it looks good and it’s proving well in WvW (even though I don’t have the full gear yet) I will switch out the shortbow for longbow in Zergs

Only thing for this build is what sigils/runes would you recomended or suggest? And should I have those 4 traits points into the Mark or put them Into BM and give my pet a little love?

Nah, keep then in marksmanship, spotter is great.

For sigils, force+ fire or air+fire are great for bursting, and then energy+ whatever on greatsword. I can’t think of something better right now.
