Hello guys, considering the upcoming skill bar changes I decided to get used to run a LB power ranger and I love it, but I have serious probles against warriors, any tips to improve my build ?

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fNAQNBjODbkSlWW7XxgFqWD0HUrPgAYsb/DT7N8KbLZFLB-TFyEwAGeCAB3fYgSwbK/ecRAap+jGdDAM/RKgIWGB-w

Against most classes is very effective, obviously is not like a condi tank build so it needs more thinking and trategy but thats the part I really like

I tend to keep my distance from the target as much as I can switching to a/wh when needed but against warriors I feel like I cannot make any mistake or else they obliterate me, a missed lb3 or lb4 means that I’m probably dead.

1.experiment with – 4- 0-6-0-4 you basically switch “read the wind” to “intimadation training”. Take 2 psiders(cave and forest). This setup give you much better control vs warriors, prema cripple, poison and weakness, immob.
2.Change sigils, your build is not optimal for might stacking, put on LB air and fire/blood
and on sword/horn hydromency and bloodlust(or somthing)
3. change your heal to TU.
4.replace SOTH with somthing better like SOS or SOTW, you already have horn for mobility and spiders dont need much running around.
5. change food to omnoberry pie(the life steal food) or mango pie(the healing food)
6. change ulty to RAO you have enough immob from 2 spiders.
7. change axe to 1H sword.
I understand you went for a setup of a power build with condi angle. Even with with 10 might(around the amount you can keep with your original sigls) your bleeds will tick for 80~ and wont last long. The good news are that the upcoming balance change will make your orginal build much more appealing.

Wow thank you for the nice tips man

1. I will try it out, I had a 10 serie fight against a warrior the other day and the few times I won was because I landed most of my immob and cripple.
2. I was thinking so, I will save some money to buy the sigils you mentioned, they both should do around 1k damage on targets with around 3k toughness and that’s a lot, now I understand why they are so expensive.
3. In most cases I run with TU, but I kind of feel better with HaO against bursty opponents.
5. Never tried Omnomberry pie, from the wiki it says it heals for 325 and has 1s cooldown, it look interesting, especially with sword attack speed

I will test it out tonight if I have enough money, I was just wondering why not going 6 in BM ? the only master traits I really like of MM are eagle eyes but it’s not as good without RTW, Predator’s instinct is good but I think I have enough cripple with the spiders. Instead in BM I can slot many cool traits like :

1. Invigorating bond – heals 1600 hp it looks good
2. Zephyr speed – nice for stomping and burst
3. Vigorous training – it would give me a nice uptime of vigor

The build would look like this :

Hi man, happy it was helpful.
1. Going full BM is definitely an option worth some experimenting with. My goal was to twik your orginal build without ruining the D.N.A of the build or the flavor of it. By going full BM you sacrifice ~10% damage from your long bow(100 power and eagle eye) which synergise very well with your crit damge so you actually lose alot of burst damge. moreover, the opening strike of your pet synergise with malicious training, so its more 5% damage you lose on your opening burst. You benefit nothing from preak of strengh due to your gear(only 30 power) so i’m not sure going full bm worth it. The “intimadation training” is the key trait in BM and thats the only reason we dive so deep into BM. By swapping cave/forest every 15 sec and F2 at he moment F2 is ready(30 sec, 24 sec with trait) you can prema cripple your opponent(the cave/forest spriders F2 are 2-3 shots, each apply the cripple and they stack on eachother ).

2.About the sigils: I’m not sure you need air/fire aigils on S/H, this set is more of a support weapon set, getting back into positin, bufff, creating distance etc… I think support sigils like bloodlust(if you like it), hydromency or energy, might be better options.

3.HaO actually do syneregises better with “vigorous renewal” so it migt play as altarnative for TU and “wilderness knowledge”.

5. “Slice of Candied Dragon Roll” have the same effect as “Omnomberry pie” and it might be alot cheaper( it used to be…) the food will work with your “mulistrike” attacks like hunters call/rapid fire/barrage so there is a good change you can actually get the proc every sec while using thouse attacks.

Thanks again great responses

1. I’m gonna stick with 4 into MM then, but will eventually try out 6 in BM
2. Sigil of energy is good, but with the perma cripple I’m not sure about the sigil of Hydromancy, I know they don’t stack, but will chilled override cripple movement speed ?
5. I should look into that, it’s always nice to save some gold.

chill also effect opponent cooldowns. hydromency is aoe, also does aoe damage that can crit.
it is good in meny situations but as mentioned, if you dont like it energy is good as well, you can also try leeching.
Goodluck on destroying warriors today, if you feel like you need additional kick, swap SoS with QZ for burst.

Tried it yesterday for few hours and had much fun with it, I had some problems finding warriors who didn’t run away like usain bolt and the OS was empty exept for a gvg late night.
I was amazed by the dps and relative tankiness of the build, hope I can find someone tooday in OS because most of the people I find roaming around are not that good, in OS I usually find more competitive and enjoyable fights.
