The rules specific to this cup are:
-Banned Amulets: Celestial, Soldier, Crusader, Cavalier, Knight, Settler, Barbarian, Sentinel, Cleric and Magi
-No elites over 120 seconds
-No Dwayna runes
-Rangers only
-Map: Forest of Niflhel – Beach area
-RO32 and RO16 are Bo1, Quarters and Semi-Finals are Bo3, Grand-Finals are Bo5

I would like to know the reasons behind those banned amulets and runes! Very restrictive for Amulets, leaving only assassin, zerk, carrion, marauder, rabid, rampager, Valkyrie.

Dwayna is meh anyway with how much regen we already have.

“Tank” Amulets are a common ban in 1v1 servers so i get that, but (only) Dwayna Rune Dunno…. grove rune would be better anyways in a 1v1 :>

The issue I see is that a lot of those other amulets are what Ranger really shines with. No healing power at all on any of those ammys, little sustain. Burst meta anyone?

What are they concerned about? The duels taking too long?

Not really that restrictive, considering the only banned amulet that works well is settler all the rest is no good for ranger.

Not really that restrictive, considering the only banned amulet that works well is settler all the rest is no good for ranger.

Celestial, Crusader, Cavalier and Cleric are also all good on Ranger. Weird they all start with the letter C too

Pretty much.

The amulet restrictions do seem really harsh. I would have only banned settler. There are tons of builds that aren’t viable for a PvP match that work in duels.

I wasn’t.

This competition is for Rangers, but they are running one for each class, then the winners are all playing off to find the best dueller. That was my point, you can’t restrict amulets with a competition like that and expect the result to be real because of how each class plays. Although, if you didn’t, D/D Cele would prob win. As it is, I bet zerk Thief/Mesmer win it.

d/d ele will come out on top, too much healing built into the class even when wearing zerk amulet.

I will say though just in a ranger vs ranger tournament the more skilled ranger will end up being the winner. You’ll have to pay more attention and better time your dodges and blocks since you’ll both have a handicap.

soo.. do i need to be on eu? I’m NA and i’d love to do this idk about any other ranger 1v1 events

Any of you guyz participate in it? Seems like something broke and I have no idea what do they have in mind or how do they want to contact the participants.
EDIT: Nvm, they already did.

They sent out an email. Their brackets broke so its been postponed until next monday.

Edit: They then sent out an email and put it back on because they fixed the brackets. So we both missed it!
