We need it. Especially for pets like the Hawk which only has 6 seconds cooldown on it’s F2. That’s a lot of potential lost if you can’t keep up with spamming that F2 key.

That would be nice, but is it really that difficult to learn to hit the F2 button every once in awhile? At first, I was having trouble keeping up as well, but now I see it as an extension of the Ranger’s skills and I hit F2 out of habit every few seconds without even realizing it.

With pets like Drakes who have a decent recharge it is no problem. But it is very annoying with those short recharge pets, because there is so much else to keep your eyes and hands on in a fight.

EDIT: Especially since it often doesn’t fire, no matter how much I hammer away at the F2 key.

The best thing about this class is that it uses my razer naga at it’s full potential with pets. Having the F1 to F4 buttons on my mouse is a joke.

Right now it seems like pets will try to use their F2 skills even without a target so that would need to be addressed, but I’d love to be able to set F2 skills on auto-attack.

Bind F2 to no.1 and Skill 1 to no.2 and set no.2 on Auto Attack.
And set the other skills to your preference.
Just an example
