Q:

Hey guys! I noticed in http://en.gw2skills.net/ that when you put points on Marksmanship or Wilderness S. lines, which improve condition duration and damage respectively, it improves not only your conditions but also the pet’s.
Is this right? If it is, would that work for boon duration or anything else?
Thanks!

A:

No. Only the pet attribute bonus from our Beastmaster trait line affects the pet: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pet_Attribute_Bonus

Although, we also have an adapt trait in each line which gives the a bonus to a stat:

I think they only work while in combat though.

Your own stats do not buff your pets stats at all.

The Beastmastery line boosts all primary pet stats (Vitaility, Toughness, Power, Precision) by 10 points per point in Beastmastery.

Secondary stats like Condition Damage and Condition Duration have traits that boost said stat for pets.

If the calc is showing pet stats being boosted by your own trait lines, its either from the major traits that boost those stats, or its a mistake.
