Hello everyone, I’ve been trying to figure out a spec for WvW. I’m fairly new to the game and have been trying out these different builds in sPvP, which I am well aware, is a different beast from WvW. But, I have been trying to keep this in mind while using these different builds.

Currently I am running with a Trap Build and it is working very well in the sPvP setting, but I really have my doubts about how well it will work in WvW (except for perhaps keep/tower defense). Does anyone know if trap builds work well in WvW? or should I focus on running a more long range type build?

My friend runs a very prick like trap build (30 marks 30 skirm 10 BM) don’t know his gear, and he just puts them down on frequently traveled areas and waits for a victim to run through them. He says it’s amazing 1v1 and 1v2-3, I know he uses a longbow and a sword/dagger, and he won’t tell me what runes he’s running just that they have condi duration, but knowing his love for TA I’m going to er they’re nightmare runes.

Let me know if that helps any, idk how well it’s work from personal experience, but it seems to work really well for my friend.
