They’re still good for the ranger, the pet doesn’t have that big of issues keeping up with people (and it won’t fall behind you), not to mention if you run a LB your 3 gives swiftness to the pet, and that if you’ve got 15in NM any swiftness you gain gets passed off to the pet.

I ran travelers runes from its current incarnation until about 3 days ago (changed to pirate runes, that bird).
On top of what durzilla said there is agility training as well. travelers runes are great as you get boon duration and and condi duration as well.

He may just be using his sword 2 or GS3 to be mobile, I mean both of those are pretty fast ways to run around

I use travelers rune on one gear set for each of my toons specifically for the speed boost. Usually though it’s on my drunk playing pve with pvt gear set that has the traveler runes on it cause if I am going damage I’m still using Scholar… which each of my toons has except for my Ranger because I’m not putting the resources into getting it out of the celestial/divinity build I have on it since Anet ruined it. Fk that.
