Can specific trinkets help to improve survivability and if so which ones are recommended? I’m a level 80 ranger and currently spend most of my time in WvW where my survivability is far from great. I have recently changed my build (as recommended and I think this has helped a bit) and will be looking at the possibility of improving my armour shortly.

Start with Soldiers or Cavalier and adjust from there till you’re comfortable. They’re easy to get thanks to the megaserver stuff. I don’t recall which Temple Karma vendor has what so you’ll need to wiki.

This is of course assuming you’re running a power build.

Valkyrie armor/weapons mixed with Emerald trinkets is probably your best bet tbh. In wvw, toughness (you’ll get tough/pow/prec from emerald) is good for mitigating some aoe etc but wvw is also very condition heavy so a bit of extra vitality will help against that as well (call is vit/pow/fer). Using pure cavalier will be a huge waste w/o some precision and fury. You’d be better off going pure Soldier’s (PVT). I think Valkyrie armor/weapons with Emerald trinkets will probably give you the best balance of stats w/o going full Celestial. Good luck.
