There’s always been some QQ about the ranger on these forums. A lot of it is justified and constructive. There’s frustration that Anet is moving slowly. I get it and I’m not talking about those posts.

However, what’s up with all the new posts from people that are purely trolling the ranger forums??

They are admittedly not even playing the profession. Threads saying that they would never invite a ranger to their group, telling us how bad the “hunter” profession is, or challenging rangers to duels for gold …

It’s starting to read like the thief forums where people just pop in to say I hate you.

Why this new trend on the ranger forums?

Yeah I’ve noticed this too. Maybe its new players that came in with this patch

I hope some of it starts getting moderated.

What? A class forum that actually has helpful advice and constructive comments about the class with possible changes for improvements?

There are two ways of handing this. More active moderation and giving users the tools to weed out the ‘rif-raf’, trolls and other noise that clog these forums.

I offered in the ‘suggestion’ forum the idea of an ‘ignore’ button. Its worked wonders in many professional/technical forms.

There is a ignore feature if click on username it is under that. But It doesn’t work:) Person who codes website is also one doing class balance and is in charge of cleaning the men’s room so he does not have time to fix it.(last part was a joke:p)

Most of them aren’t even playing the ranger profession though. They’re just coming here to troll.

There are even Rangers who seem to troll these forums, for whatever reason. It doesn’t make sense. Even though the Ranger isn’t broken, it has some pretty glaring issues, that make the class subpar to many of the other classes in the game.

The only other class that comes across weaker in WvW are Engineers. The issue though isn’t fighting a one vs one, it is group on group, or zerg on zerg play. People who play many other classes have highlighted the issues, only to be harrassed by people for no apparent reason, other than the fact they want to cause issues in threads to draw away from the fact that things need to be fixed.

This stuff happens in every MMO though. You always have a group of people who like to see things fixed, and another group of people who attack those who see reason behind a well balanced game.

We’re used to people who for whatever reason fight against balance.

I agree. The ranger needs some work and constructive posts are great. The rangers suck posts are getting old. I never experienced any type of ranger hate on TC.

Regarding zergs, it’s not a role …. but I love hanging outside the group and LB#4’ing enemies back into the zerg. Again, not a role but fun.
