This is really bugging me.

I joined a group for Twilight Arbor explorable last night, and one of the party members was a ranger. But, they had a Tropical Bird pet? It was attacking mobs, so it had to have been a pet. I can’t find anything anywhere about them being tameable, and I am kicking myself for not having taken a screenshot. I asked the person about it (I can’t remember their name, another blunder on my part,) but they didn’t answer.

The instant I saw Tropical Birds in Lion’s Arch I knew I’d kill to have one as a pet. Any ideas? Gah.

6 piece Superior Rune of the Pirate has a chance to summon a Tropical Bird companion.

^ boom, i WISH we could have one as a bird pet, but alas we will have to use pirate tunes if we want them…

This bird cracks me up. It’s like having another pet that you can’t control.

It shows up randomly, rezzes downed players and attacks anything it pleases. Mine seemed to seriously hate anything Risen and would solo them while I wasn’t paying attention.

Not recommended for serious business, but totally recommended for entertainment when farming/exploring/whatever we do now.

Actually, it’s like having another pet that you can control. Little known fact: rune-summoned critters will obey your pet commands (aside from F2, obviously). This includes your #3 skill in the downed state.
