Upgrading Build: Condition Ranger
My I suggest swapping shortbow for axe/dagger. Reason is axe dagger combo has more conditions than short bow, more CC and a built in evade… More survivability. In the end it all comes down to play style but I suggest trying it out. Also I would suggest dropping quickening zephyr as it is basically useless for a condition based build, and swapping it for signet of the hunt for movement passive, or something else… May I ask what gear/stats you are using, and runes? Might help out a bit with responses
Well I went with Quickening Zephyr because it helped with my cat being able to land hits on moving targets, that and it landed bigger crits. Also like the bow for the range option. Helps with targets trying to flee so I can cripple them. I’ll try that combo also. My gear, I’m wearing the Whispering Armor of Infiltration(Exotic Karma Set), which now looking at it, have the wrong runes. Weapons looking to replace sigils anyways and accessory/rings are condition damage based.
Well axe 3 is a chill which is just as good as a cripple IMO, plus now with recent shortbow nerfs the axe and shortbow have the same range (900). Plus with dagger offhand you get another cripple and bleed on #5, so that’s 2 ways to slow them down on the 1 weapon set. Plus if you pick up offhand training in traits, it increases the range to 1200 for all you’re offhand abilities (so the dagger #5). This means torch #4 on sword/torch is also 1200 range, it also increases the radius of bonfire, and the length of the dagger evade.
Best bet for condi builds I’d say is either rabid or apothecary gear. and as for runes, if you want to go full condition damage I’d say undead. As for sigils, I’d say geomancy as it adds 3 stacks of bleed on weapon swap… But that’s just my preference.
