Are spirit rangers viable? From what I was talking ingame with peoples, they say most competitive teams take at least 1 spirit ranger.

But is it viabla as a “pug”? Or roaming in wvw? From what I understand its a heavy condition build, so I think it might be good. For pve I think its not really that important but I think it might be good on dungeon runs as well.

Thoughts?

Look up frostspotter for dungeons. It was viable but not anymore.

Wvw no. There are better roaming builds without them and they are useless in zergs.

PvP, yes. Still viable.

All On Hit spirits expect Frost Spirit have an ICD. That makes them rather weak in PvE.

Organized dungeon groups often take 1 Ranger with them because no other profession can provide Spotter and Frost Spirit.
However PUGs often times will kick a Ranger because their support isn’t that impressive, and the risk to get a Bow Ranger is too high.
