[Vid] Ranger PvP
Fun.
Also <3 muddy terrain.
Thanks hehe yea I love it more and more the more I use it
Pretty good overall, few questions:
1. Why the fern wolf? Drake bound and Fear wolf are widely considered superior.
2. You can skill cancel your pet knock down with an F3 and can save it for when you need it/ when it can land, there were several missed flying dogs.
3. If you don’t hit anything or don’t finish the cast of third gs auto you can get more evade frames by using it again, that could have helped you a few times, although you are tanky enough to not really need it.
The quality of the vids were good, makes me excited for when I finally get a good comp and can actually see what’s happening in game that smoothly

Alpine wolf? If I had to guess, I’d say his “default” pets are spider and fern hound. I think I also spotted a pig and one of the moas (red? I’m guessing that’s mostly for the heal?) in there.
I meant fern. Thanks for the catch.

Hey Eurantien, thanks for the comment, glad you liked it^^
As to why the fern hound, I just like it. Always have, since I started my ranger and I never really got around to using it since as you said many other pets are considered superior. But I dunno, I just like that secondary heal and the color of the fern hound, I could go on^^
yea I still need to work on cancelling the knockdown again. I’ve been using moas and pigs and drakes for so long I forgot how to properly play hounds I guess. Thanks though I’ll try keep it in mind next time^^
and i didn’t even notice that I didn’t use the second dodge on gs aa in the video ^^ haha I’ll have to check it out again, thanks!
Best thing you can do is always question your play! Keep it up.

this is some solid advice

thanks, will do:)
not too bad. the damage output is definitely solid. never thought about running LB without RTW. will be stronger next patch.im getting excited about all the possibilities!
i find MT pretty underwhelming because of the cast-time, and you can get a better immob from the dog. double canine would make this build stronger.

Good video and good editing, I enjoyed that.
It’s really nice seeing people not use RtW in LB builds. In mid-range skirmishes and sanctioned duels it’s really not necessary.
after some testing, I gotta say this is such a troll build. everyone (especially thieves) overcommits thinking youre a glassbow, but you just don’t go down while still hitting like a truck. I learned something today – LB doesn’t have to be used just in an assassin role; it can be used for skirmishing quite effectively.
In the current meta this isn’t a bad choice.
Though I would use something more like: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fNAQJATRjEq0xa/KusQ1ag9gaVA0eIehs19WUEt9FbUVF-TpBFwACuAAIOCAy3fIxhAoaZAAPAAA
With either steady focus or predator’s instinct in MM.

yeah u owned pretty hard with it tonight. I had some pretty good results as well earlier in the day. and yes, I found SoS superfluous. I put my last 2 points in primal reflexes for the extra precision and vigor.
@mistsim: thanks man, yea man I love the occasional moment of surprise ^^ damage is definitely solid enough that the opponent cannot just ignore you but they cannot just kill you as quickly as they are used to:D
also, I’m always torn between using MT or using something else, at the moment I really like it for the added immob/cripple and the near permanent fury you get. Also I’m trying to get used to the pets I’m thinking of using when the new patch hits^^
SOS could be left out for another stunbreak or utility I guess. In the current meta I really like it tho, it’s pretty engaging only having one stunbreak to work with. Trains me a lot more careful I think;)
@sevans: thanks man! Appreciate it:D
@Eurantien: looks interesting, will try it out for sure. I just don’t like MM at all. The minors are all so lackluster. I like the skirmishing minors much more.

Why travelers runes?
Because not having swiftness out of combat sucks, meta classes are just too mobile to not have that speed buff
