I was solo roaming and testing out a silly condi burning build when I heard Piken Square’s Inner Monkey [IM] guild http://innermonkey.enjin.com/ were hosting open ranger raid and naturally I had to join the madness. Good fun and lootbags were shared on both sides.

Lol. Interesting. Maybe I missed it but no target assist going on at all?

hahah I love it, I would rather see a all one profession day in whole wvw than the current plans to make a golem week.
Also dont kodash have any roamers? All you see is the same blob group all the time

Now that you mention, I really did manage to pick the clips where I was either partyless or the fights that were a chaotic mess. But to be honest there wasn’t really much target picking going on apart from the rather questionable focusing commanders/guild leaders to end the fights fast since quite a few of the rangers from our raid had no idea what their skills were doing and we had to end the fights as soon as possible rather than having a skillful and fair fight :x It was good fun either way and that was the whole purpose of this raid :>

They do have some roamers but you are right.. Usually they are solo roaming together in a big group but I suppose that’s how it is in t1 and t2 at the moment. I’m afraid the current glitchy buggy balance patch isn’t making finding roamers any easier either.

Thanks Frou – wasn’t trying to nit pick. I usually am solo roaming flipping camps and NPC events while calling out where the zergs are. If I run into a few others sometimes we group up. I just ask them to target so I can assist and stay at range. Makes sense what you say.

Regarding the solo roaming follow up I find that there is a 4th meta of play now called Hide ‘N’ Seek It can be tough getting away now with the crazy burst or cc that is going on.

Oh well, makes it fun. Also not sure if I said before but thanks for sharing. It is nice to see that people have a sense of humor and think outside of the box.

I didn’t take it as such, it was a valid point you made and I didn’t really pay attention to that until you mentioned it, so all is good! Even with the target picking I don’t think it would have made much difference :x

I normally do the same as what you mentioned – solo or small scale roaming, flipping stuff, scouting. I think this was the first open raid I have joined in 2 years but I gotta say it was good fun purely because no one was taking it too seriously.
