Guild Wars 2

Hey rangers!!! Just a quick video I composed after 2 days of filming. My idea here was to try and encounter ‘skilled’ players, choose the best fights and make a vid out of it. Hope you enjoy.

The first fight with the thief you should have died more than a dozen of times not sure what he was doing to be honest, my favourite part though was when you disengaged with sword2 managed to heal and then make sword 2 leap in time. nice video.

That’s one of my favorite things to do with Sword2 and this post reminded of how much I love the length of time I have to utilize between the initial skill and the chain skill.

Thank you And Yes! Bark Skin Save me I always use bark skin against burst builds, can save a life like you saw :P

I am using Apothecary Gear mixed with Dire ! Sometimes I use Dwaynas+undead, Krait+Centaur+Afflicted or full Undead. I usually try to stay around 3k armor, 1k heal, 1,500 Cond Damage and 20k Health!

Not Chronix :P But yes I enjoy doing that so much. Disengage with number 2 on sword, heal! and get back to the fight or evade

sick track and solid skills. to be honest, i DONT miss playing regen bunker. it simply takes forever to kill an average player, and the build cant handle 2v1’s against equally skilled opponents, or disengage. i imagine getting the footage was frustrating, as just about any scrub can totally kitten on your 1v1, resulting in a loss.

Solid performance, a lot like how I fight (although I use a different build). I like the variation in game play with regen keeping you alive while you do your best to mitigate damage + stacking conditions. However I do believe that this build is best suited for duels rather than for the craziness that happens all the time in WvW. Not to mention that the trait lines bind you to the build, unless you can swap on the go to spirits but then again I’ve yet to see a successful spirit build in WvW.

I like it a lot, question though: do you think that it’s viable to apply the AoE shout rotation for boons while using a signet build?

By the way, on that thief fight (if you ever encounter more like that one), make sure to keep an eye for when they use their ranger-steal ability, run away from them so that they’re unable to take advantage from it. You can range them if they decide to stay in the water field to neutralize their regeneration. I also noticed that in your case it’s best to use sword 2 to leap out of death, regenerate, leap in a V pattern or an L pattern (as long as you don’t need to fully run away) and wait for the thief before dropping bonfire. They will have wasted some initiative trying to reach you and it’s a lot safer than leaping over them, since there is always a chance they will get a heart seeker off you while you leap and end up sticking to you like glue from there.

It’s pure condibunker. You lack pressure vs. opponents with some sustained cleansing. You don’t die, but neither your opponents. Personally, I like the quality of video, introand music isn’t the worst, but apart from saying “Good video” I would lie if I told it kept me impressed. Liked your previous ones more

You can watch long minutes of running in circles 1v1 (in WvW, where it not really matters), and can’t kill, barely can survive. Its not skilled, its trolled.

I like this video, it is a great promotion to the Ranger class the Jack-of-All-Trades.

You made good use of situations of playing offensively by using combo fields and leaping toward them to gain fire armor which grants might on hit and defensively by predicting important skills to hit on you where you dodged them and juking using leap with a sword.

If anything this is a good education video for Rangers, one thing though I find confounding was that you chose a Warrior (GS / LB) as a choice for this video which features ‘skilled’ players.

From what I can see he was your average GS warrior using 3 signets, and at times spamming Hundred Blades for the whole cast duration where you already rolled away and proceeded to range him, he could have cancelled the animation. To be honest I don’t think he knows what he was doing and this is not a good representation of how a skilled warrior would fight.
