Nice vid, thank you for showing how viable traps are and how u can keep on using trapper rune in a very effective way. I expect your trap build to get much better after HS fix. You build could use the prema regen.

Nice video. I’ve always been interested in a trapper build but I haven’t put any effort into making one since the trapper runes came out. My only concern with the build is the condition removal.

Also, why sword/dagger and axe/torch? I found better synergy with sword/torch and axe/dagger (spreads out your weapon evasions and poison application). Not trying to attack you, (I noticed other rangers take build criticism very seriously) just thought bringing it up might be helpful.

As i promised here are ranger builds i used in video.
However i am keep researching for optimal balance of all survival and offensive abilities.

Honestly i must say that Stealth Trapper build looks too OP atm., even more then before. So some of next videos will be dedicated to Zerker melee/LB build. Material for it is already collected.

great videos, a longer look at zerker LB/GS would be nice. I haven’t been serious in WvW for a while now but I think I may get back into it regularly. PvP is getting rather stale.

I use the trapper runes with rabid armor, axe/torch, and swap between LB/SB. I was comparing it to your builds out of curiosity I’m mostly solo roaming WvW to scout while flipping camps, etc.

I went:
Skirmish 3,3,2 (Trappers Expertise, Hidden Barbs, Light on your feet)
Wilderness 2,2,1 (Oakheart Salve, Refined Toxins, Empathic Bond)
Nature Magic 2,1,2 (Instinctive Reaction, Evasive Purity, Protective Ward)

LB is sigil of air and incapacitation
SB is sigil of doom and earth
AXE is sigil of agony
Torch is sigil of geomancy

Another area I may be weak on is accessories – I am all ascended celestial. I believe I tried marksman before but swapped back to NM for some reason. Maybe trying to get more bleeds in. Overall traps work well and I get some tells saying nice idea, good stealth. If I play well I usually have a good chance of winning. Higher skilled players still come out on top regardless so I don’t feel the build is cheese or is a i-win.

I am also trying some of the double melee with it but roaming with friends can be difficult due to lack of speed.

And i like his videos because i like breaks and similar music styles. So as for me music is strong side. Other thing is that condi trappers are too overpowered now and i prefer to see some zerker videos.

Made some footage with WvW Stress Test Desert Borderlands map roaming.
May be interesting for those who didn’t get there for some reason.
Wasn’t easy for me I’m very noob at video montage guys sri for that

I liked the map actually, it has atmosphere and i want back there as soon as possible.
