Visual Indicator Of Downed Pet
If a pet is downed, your F2 ability is greyed out. That’s your indicator.
Fojja – Vyxxi – Nymmra – Mymmra – Champion of Dwayna .. and more
Highly Over Powered Explorers [HOPE] – Desolation EU
Well that could be used as crude way to tell for now thx..
but I think this lil suggestion of changing the colour of the health bar when dead is a far more polished and would be miles better, than the way it is now.
can be misleading at the moment

Seriously? Your pet limps around and makes pathetic whining noises when it’s downed, how can you NOT know when he’s downed by just looking at it?

Chaos of the battlefield. My pet will die without me even noticing because I’m too busy trying to stay alive or to keep person X from using skill Y.

couldn’t of said it better..
All Im trying to address is the fact the UI for the pet could be made immensely better by just having a diff colour for the downed pet..
it’s simple to implement, and as i stated before
if my pet has x amount of my damage tied to him i want to easily see when he’s dead

Well the health bar is grey and the F2 skill is blacked out, do you want it to be flashing red with a little asura dancing on it holding a sign that says “Your pet is dead!!” ? i mean, how much more do you want?

……..I do want that! in addition, can your pet dance also when dead?

health bar is not grey.. thats was my whole point.. its just a slight shade of darker red
all I asked was could they make it grey for clarity..

I made a video highlighting the point I wanted to show,
I made a video highlighting the point I wanted to show
In that video, you can clearly see that the F2 skill is greyed out.
Why can’t you just use that as your indicator?
Raven’s Talon [RT]
Henge of Denravi
That video on the other hand is painfully clear when it comes to another issue – pets still sucks @ hitting moving targets.
First hit from pet occurs @ 10 seconds, next attack that hits occurs @ 23 seconds – WTF!

You don’t have to look at anything. Don’t you hear your character yell “MY PET’S DOWN!!” or whatever your race says? Then you don’t have to even glance at the pet bar to know its toast.
You are asking for a visual sign your pet is dead. There are several already. Now if you cant tell your pet is dead becuase you are color blind there is still an audio cue.
So with all the things that are wrong with the ranger you want them to go back and fix this becuase you choose not to use the signs you are given. So okay granted it could be a little better but really there are a million other thing they should fix before even thinking about wasting time on this.
everyone should fear becoming mentally clouded and obsessed with one small section of truth.
would of thought coding for this is very minimal

“No! Come back! I’ll heal you!”
“No, don’t die yet!”
“Not my pet!”
“I’ll Protect you! come to me!”
Are all things my ranger has said (or very close to that) when my pet gets downed, so, yeah… you totally don’t even need to look at your pets bar to know when your pet goes down, because i can 100% guarantee that everytime my pet has gone down he’s said one of these.

It’s a good idea to just do pet swap on CD, anyway; to avoid having one die very often.
ok well what about hard of hearing players that wont be able hear that or if there is a chaotic fight going on then hearing is not always the best way
or you have your sound down
i am aware of all the points made so far this was just an improvement idea that would be really simple but effective

Then there’s still the GREYED OUT F2 SKILL, the limping pet (which will be coming towards you and limping at your side), and the lack of any of the bright red health bar being in the pets health bar. Idk how you are having trouble knowing your pet is dead, no one else seems to be.

Im not really having any problems with my pet, it was just a UI upgrade suggestion.

Yeah, but it’s not really needed… there’s already plenty to show that your pet is downed.

Its a reasonable suggestion and probably wouldn’t take them 5 minutes to implement, I think most people would rather they spent those 5 minutes on one of the myriad other ranger problems instead. I wouldn’t mind, like you said what if someone is deaf or listening to music or something, it’d be easy to see at a glance I suppose then. But please random devs reading this, fix pets and shouts and signets and weapon skills first please

If they’re deaf they can glance over and see the greyed out F2 skill and the missing bright red health bar…
