Vulnerability Stacking Ranger
You are correct that opening shot only gives vulnerability to the first target with piercing arrows.
I tested this by lining up the Golems and checking the one in back that got hit also.
This last patch brought some interesting changes in the role a LB/GS Ranger may achieve in a Dungeon scenario. Remorsless, Opening Strike, Hunter´s Shot, Rapid Fire and Piercing Arrows make a setup for Rangers that want to stack AoE Vulnerability and Constant stacks in a Boss fight with Maul and Remorsless. I think it´s an interesting idea since Rangers in Dungeons where still in a ugly place, and Warriors loved to remember us about it.
However there are a couple of things in my opinion that must be implemented for this idea to work properly. First, Martial Mastery will help with this mechanic reducing Mauls CD, however i dont understand why we have CD reduction for GS in a tree that adds condition damage When this has become a power based weapon. I think it could be useful tu place crit damage bonuses in Wilderness Knowledge and Condition Damage in Skirmishing (conditions for traps and sharpened edges get improved). Second i dont undertsand why Opening Strike only applies vulnerability to the first target when using Piercing arrows (not 100% sure), this doesn´t happen with rapid fire.
Changing this 2 aspects may help create a vuln stacking meta for rangers in dungeons, giving us the feeling that we are actually contributing to groups. Hope you like the idea and ill welcome comments on ways to improve it or why is unviable.
