why isnt protection being copied from my pet to me?

I haven’t seen the boon icon when I heal
Roy just afraid, that ranger can maintain same amount of protection, as his Elementalist.
Rangers will never be a part of EsL.
Healing in raids are for ranges, not competitive pvp or tournaments.
