Wait for 20th or Reroll ?
If you don’t want to wait, just use your Guard or reroll a Warrior or Mes or Ele… Or just be paitent until you find a team that doesn’t mind.
Not sure why anyone is hating in fractals, they are easy enough to bring any class.
Just avoid those groups, full of fail is likely. Rangers do fine in fractals, just bring enough AR.

I do lvl 30’s factals and I never have a problem finding a group. Some om y eaiest run have been with mostly ranger teams. I find that groups with guardians have the most trouble. while they can make somethings a little easier they are not required and they tend to leave groups needing more dps.

Perhaps i’ve just some back luck with groups. Thank you for your insight.
I’ll never understand that. I do FOTM 48 (non pug) with two rangers in the party and finish in good time (45 mins to 1 hour usually). I’ve never, ever seen a PUG besides CoF 1 do anything even close to optimally yet they abhor rangers. What the hell? Most the PUGs I play with can’t even jump tree stumps in the swamp fractal BUT OMG ITS A RANGER RUUUUUUUUUUN
i agree above my ranger is on lvl 31 and i don’t have any trouble with pug group clearing the levels. what actually makes me laugh is that when we fail they mostly blame me, but at the same time i see wars rushing in without support or guardian that don’t use wall or boons or heals while I mostly 1 man standing and rezzing. if people don’t want a ranger then that probably means that they arn’t that good either. in the end experience is more important then a silly class.
the ppl don’t want ranger’s beacuse sadly statistically majority of ranger players are idiots….

Yeah pugs will be pugs….I think the stigma with rangers is that people assume you’re going to only use rapid fire on longbow + bear pets. Lord knows I’ve grouped with rangers who just stood there autoattacking not doing anything else lol.
But yeah as others have mentioned in those threads if people are declining your party because of your class then kitten those guys. Those tend to be the people who rage quit if someone in the party gets downed or something stupid.
The only reason pugs don’t like rangers is most ranger pugs are idiots, the prof is not bad in the slightest unless you’re with a speed clear team in which case anything other than 4 warriors and 1 mes = lawlz noobz.
If you enjoy ranger play ranger, if you don’t play something else, I know me and all my friends give ranger pugs the BOTD, but my god do we end up kicking 7/10 of then due to how stupid a lot of them are, just be one of the good ones and you’ll be fine lol.

This is probably at least partly due to the fact that the metagame build for rangers in dungeons is “don’t bring a ranger.”
There’s very little information out there for rangers who want to know how to set up their weapons, stats, traits and pets for best results in dungeons. Many players probably default to using a longbow and a bear because they don’t know any better and haven’t had the opportunity to test so they go with the most conservative setup they can think of.
I know before the game came out I used to think my ranger would probably use moas and spirits in dungeons to maximize team synergy. Look how that turned out.

IF you play the class its not difficult to figure out what works and what doesn’t with the exception of healing. I would have never thought of using healing power in my build. If you craft your way to lvl 80 or ac your way to lvl 80 it’s no wonder why you are clueless about the class.
I dont believe you need a special set up for most dungeons most of the time. If you know you class you can make just about anything work with a couple of weapon and utitlity swaps here and there.
If you add guard to you bar you can keep the weakest pets alive.

I’m so sad that moas aren’t a viable pet in dungeons / pvp. I used them all the time while leveling up and love their F2 skills / free miniheals. =(

They aren’t? News to me, I’ve been using Moas in both those aspects of the game forever…
