Noting the popularity of Point Blank shot by the generally ignorant Ranger PvE crowd, I think we can help all of those smarmy one button wondermonkeys by making every attack on the longbow be Point Blank Shot.

This way, I can stop asking myself if its worth it to target the same mob they do, and I can just ignore the entire lot altogether.

That’s a little more general than my proposal, but that’s the basic gist. Yes.
An alternative option is that they remove the cooldown on PBS entirely, and effective immediately.

Because I’m getting the sneaky suspicion that the current state of Point Blank Shot must be a constant source of broken frustration to them. As a ranger myself, it blows my mind how quick these cunning skillful folk seem to enjoy spamming that particular button, no matter where the actual location of the mobs themselves are; Be it at close or mid range, or in some cases where the need is dire – right out from under the noses of melee classes.

I’m sensing the other buttons must be somewhat meaningless by comparison.

Sorry, but that will never make it into the game. That would be broken beyond repair.

It often surprises me how often I see passive aggression in forums for just about every game I play. I make one here and Whoooooooooooooooooosh.

it needs a 300% damage increase, and rangers need a reliable way to strip boons like stability. (trait for boon strip on PBS anyone?), before this would ever be a valid change to the longbow. at least think before you post suggestions.

I do so enjoy when I’m roaming with my warrior friend to pbs people out of his hundred blades. he still loves me though
