Guild Wars 2

Hello.
I joined Guild wars when it was released. Play it every single day and only have one char. Alltough this game have so many good classes i found myself bended over the ranger table
ITs a very good class with some good features. Like in all the games have advantages against some other classes and disvantages against some others. I baraly have much to complain about rangers. On my point of view there are only 2 changes that would make rangers way more enjoyble:

1st Rangers Stats afect Pets Stats.
Just Imagine how good that would be? I mean ofc the pets are allready good (Exception of the ones that got nerfed) but they still good companios, now imagine if they could get stronger. Every Class have something unique and our is the pet so why not give us the amazing hability? Im jsut sharing an Idea. Ikn how that would impact and cause some changes on the game but right now thats what a ranger needs.

2nd Remove Shouts and add something usefull.

I mean c’mon. I dont know who came up with the shouts on a ranger but i personally think that those skills are used by no one on this game (maybe 2% of the rangers).
Excluding “Search and REscue” That can be usefull on groups i dont see any other usefull shout on ranger. Arena Net could come up with something better than that. I’m really disapoited with that part.

Excluding that and some other minors that i wont mention. I Still enjoy playing ranger.
So if our cry for help would be listened one day, we would all rangers be grateful

You gotta be kidding me. Guardian shouts (traited) with soldier runes are ridiculously strong. In addition to the boons they grant, each shouts strips 2 conditions from your group and adds one extra boon from conversion. Stand your ground is the only skill in the game granting group stability (unless I’m missing something?). “Save yourselves” didn’t receive the duration reduction in PvE/WvW, so it’s really on par with most elites.

Compare those to ranger shouts… “Protect me” is mediocre since it kills your pet. “Guard” has no real use other than spamming for swiftness/regen.

Many warriors run at least one shout and there are warrior builds built around shouts. Same for guardian, except it is rare that a guardian is not running at least one shout.

Ranger shouts, on the other hand, are widely ignored. Rare are the rangers that run one, and rarer is the ranger that runs one without Nature’s Voice being traited for swiftness/regen spamming. The shouts are, honestly, some of our worst utilities to bring.

i wonder what can those kittening ranger shouts do when both your pets are dead in wvw…

than you should port to spawn and not get killed by a burst thief or a condi spamming necro what is not so hard for a ranger..

shouts could get some extra love sure, but its not like they are useless

Actually, Sic ’Em is pretty good.

I run it in my build, which is actually Brazils’ build.

“Protect Me!” works pretty fine. And it gets a buff via pet health pool 70% increase in two weeks.

I still think the shouts on ranger were a last minute change in mechanic. They seem more likely to be ‘Pet’ skills like Rampage as One.
