Instead, we’re getting a mobility nerf, with your proposed changes to WS 5.

We still have a ton of completely nonviable pet skills, due to poor AI that can’t track moving enemies and will happily cancel the skill instead of turning to face them. I’m looking at you, every single pet with a cone attack. How many of the pets is that? Why are you okay with that many pets being broken?
I could put together a list of pets that perform adequately (meaning their F2 skill works enough for that pet to be in my short list of pets I might use) in WvW, and those that don’t. In fact, it doesn’t have to be me. Why don’t you make a dev feedback thread where we all post which pets we NEVER use because they don’t work. (or don’t perform well enough even when they do work) Ask us to tell you why, in depth, and we will!
You call some of our skills blatantly OP, but I don’t think you understand just how OP we need to be to compete with the real classes. Really. Do you have anyone who specializes in Ranger WvW on your team? (especially melee small scale not just bow+zergs) Do you understand how much effort needs to be put into winning fights with this broken class? How much more effort than anyone else?
And how much that hinges on constant evasion?
Anet, if you’re reading this, do me and the rest of the community a favor. Talk to whoever on your team specializes in Ranger. Someone should, right? Ask them what their plan is, for how they’re going to deal with this massive mobility nerf.
Then come back here, and tell us what they said.

Immobilize is a condition.
The ranger needs more/better on-demand condition removal.
You get Signet of the beastmarter and signet of renewal clears your conditions regardless of your pet status.
With 6 superior runes of the soldier, you remove a condition everytime you shout. I know this one kind of relates to the pet, but then again, it works regardless of pet status

Signet of Renewal (active) needs pet to be within 600 range. or else, it does nothing. Also, if pet is moving, it may not work as intended, even if pet is right next to you.
Best suggestion i got is to make Heal As One similar to the healing that thief got. Low-Medium healing with immobilize, stun, cripple and chill removal on 15sec CD
LR needs to break immobilize (only).
For a semi-long cool down, lightning reflexes should at least remove immob. maybe immob, cripple and chill.

And while on the topic of conditions they need to give rangers means for good overall condition cleanse that does not force them to pick 30 points in the wilderness line, I am sick and tired of that traitline holding me hostage by 1 trait I feel I can’t be without.

I know I’ve tried many times with things like lemongrass/melandru and sigil or combined with generosity/purity sigils it’s enough in duels against non condition people anytime there is a small group conditions will kitten you without this bondtrait and to make matters worse it kitten es me off to no end that a trait that is so vital to me consistently and frequently kills my pet and I can do very little about it.

Ironically, Arenanet claims to want to improve Ranger viability by making certain traits more powerful in the Dec 10th patch, but won’t change the fact that we need 30 points in Wilderness Survival to have condition removal.

i havent used Empathic Bond ever since they made conditions OP this summer. Sure you’re screwd in the face of 2 condition spammers, but it’s no big deal, easier ways to cleanse conditions that doesnt kill your pet
