Guild Wars 2

I currently play a level 51 ranger and I was wondering what the best weapon combination there is for dealing more damage. I currently use Longbow/Short bow combo but I was thinking of switching one for a melee weapon. Whats your opinion?

Greatsword for sure, has an evade on 3rd swing on 1 skill, a block, a stun and 2 skill was recently buffed along with reduce cooldown times on 4 and 5 skill. For choosing between shortbow and longbow now, thats all up to what you prefer, myself shortbow as longbow seems to slow for me.

You can also try sword/dagger which also gives 3 evades, as well as poison/bleed/cripple. You can have a signet of rage and a signet of geomancy as well, which worked pretty good for me. I’d stick to the shortbow as well.
