What weapon from other proffesions would you like to see made available for ranger class ?

Personally i’d love if my ranger could use pistol !

Combination of Pistol / Warhorn or Axe / Pistol or Pistol / Torch !

That would be ranger beastmode!

As I’ve seen in another thread or two, I think a staff ranger would be really fun (I’m thinking Friar style from DaoC)

I like the idea of a pistol, but offhand only in my opinion. I have trouble seeing a woodsman ranger using a pistol as a main hand in terms of class feel.

I’d really like another 1 handed melee weapon but I can’t picture anything else that would fit the feel of the class (MAYBE mace)

Weapons I fantasize about that my ranger would use that aren’t in the game:
Fist weapons (specifically claws, to have that ultimate predator look!)
On-land Spears/Polearms (1 handed + bucklers for that warden of the wilderness feel!)

Small shields or just shields and rifles with spears on land.

Sword offhand, make shorbows look more like longbows => me happy

2H Spear/polearm ! I’d love a weapon like that. I really miss it. (could be for soldiers classes too)
And yes fist weapons would be fine too Beardmong

Sword offhand is the only thing that I could see making sense.

Staff would be more druid than ranger imo, but would expand on the ‘nature magic’ aspect of rangers.

Didnt think of off hand sword, yes please off hand sword.

Hammer, greatsword buffs/reworks, whip.

overall Whip / crossbow / Slinger
offhand 1Hsword
Mainhand torch javalin

Melee axe :x Big time.

i would like to see the staff as a melee weapon for rangers

If spirits are ever tweaked into being potentially useful, a staff ranger with a spirit army would look pretty cool I think.
