So a Warrior just told me that rangers have always been OP. Not sure How I feel about that statement lol

I saw a mesmer make a post about rangers being op when the ranger was running a one-shot signet build, the mesmer had no armor, and was getting hit for ~10k or something. it was amusing, to say the least.

Yeah he basically said that my build was carrying me.

Not sure if I should be offended or flattered.

i’ve had a personal experience of a thief complaining my build was too one-shotty and said something along the lines of “lol yeah she comes in here and if she screws up she’s screwed because it’s one-shot”

I was tempted to say “yeah unlike you I don’t have countless escapes” :P

generally people like to complain that builds/classes are OP as an excuse for losing. it’s pretty hard to do so when you get beat by a ranger in gw2 though ;P

1 v 1 or small groups, ya, you’re going to kitten a lot of people off almost not matter what your build. Rangers are literally designed for that kitten. Oh boo hoo someone ran in to a thief, ranger or mesmer while they were roaming, take a friend.

The biggest difference between the thief, ranger and Mesmer is the no one like being beaten by a ranger and the best part about being a ranger compared to the other two is the most people wont run form you on sight.

I should mention that this took place in a PvP dueling arena. He started attacking me while I was about to fight someone else lol

In WvW the bags will run towards you… Most don’t know ranger is best dueling class for those with skill.

No its not. PD thief or PU mesmer is.

Were you using an insane regen build? Because that can get people very worked up in 1v1s.

Not even, I was running a bleed build I made myself. It works nice but far from OP
