Guild Wars 2

I’ve not played for about 9 months and just as I come back there’s a massive patch and loads of changes. My traits are reset and I’ve no idea what I should be putting them into now, I know I have to go and do a quest to open the Grandmaster traits (or pay gold) but that’s fine. When I last played I was using a SB and GS build, I’ve been reading things about a meta ranger so what’s all that about? My ranger is lvl 74 and I’d like to cap him before I start another.

The meta is dead, I’d recommend just theory crafting a build and just play with traits and the such to make a build that fits your play style, the changes to Runes and Sigils change everything and make a lot of builds that were weak pre patch strong/on par with old “meta” builds and makes builds that weren’t even possible to do a thing now.

Also, trait resets and armor repairs are free everywhere so it’s not like you’ve got anything to lose.

PvP meta builds will still work, there are just new options people are experimenting with.
