While the pet selection is already diverse, there is still plenty of room to expand. Personally I would like to see the crabs from factions make a return. Also, I would very much appreciate it if Anet expanding the canine group to include a couple more dogs, specifically something like a Golden retriever. I know it may seem like a simple vanity thing, but recently I lost my dog so to have a in-game pet that remind me of him would be awesome.

I really want some more aquatic pets.

Dolphin.

Eel.

Quaggans would be nice.

Quaggans are sentient creatures, so I do not think we could turn them into pets. I do like the idea for the dolphin and squid though.

I’d love to see a non-insect ranged pet. I was thinking something like boars that shoot quills but pigs are already taken >_<

as for skins I d love to have something small and fierce like a marten, badger and or wolverine (something from the mustelidae family)

A saltspray dragon would be cool.

Something that gives stability. Perhaps a griffon, OR a mini dragon!!!

I’d love to see existing models as tamable pets, with the following abilities:

- Griffon (with knockdown)
- Raptor (for daze)
- Basilisk (with inmobilize)
- Rock Dog (causing bleeds)
- Bat (could cause confussion)
- Crab (F2 invulnerability)
- Tropical Bird (as condition cleaner)
- Dolphin (don’t know… hitting hard for push?)
- Lunar Wolf (for the new Torment condition)
- Ooze (with pull)

Same, ranged pets can be very useful but I find the current skins off-putting as I am not a big fan of the creepy-crawlies. I had thought perhaps a spitting cobra (they could have hypno-vision as well!) but a quill-shooter would work too.

There is only one sylvari inspired creature in the game, the fern hound… why can’t we get more?

-juvenile nightmare hound, that stuns enemies on howl.
-juvenile nightmare drake, with aoe root/bleed abilities.
-juvenile nightmare feline, with poison/camouflage abilities.
-juvenile nightmare terror, some kind of actual tree-like species with an interesting ability.

We all know how bad rangers are at providing boons for everyone around them… I mean we suck for that. So the below can be proposed:

-‘fern’ instead of nightmare versions of the above pets, which gives allies boon for the F2 abilities.

They don’t all have to look green and yellow, the colors can be as varied for the pets as they are for the sylvari race, as long as they look kitten.

1. Skales as amphibian pet!!!!!! They can provide a Torment poison to the target via F2 or perhaps an aoe buff or heal.

2. Griffons. Give them a Daze F2 since we already have several Knock-down pets.

None. That would be my dream come true. If pet system is going to stay as it is now then I’d like to see no pets at all.

I want bigger versions of the already existing pets. I want a wolf as big as Garm!
A baby Devourer like Frostbite would be great, too.
The other animals I was going to suggest were already suggested by other players.
Of course, with the recent nerf, I want pets just for aesthetics.

I’d like the companion “Nerf-Hippo,” the F2 ability would randomly remove the functionality of a utility, weapon skill, or class mechanic forever (within a 1200 range).

I’d like to see decent pets. You know, the sort of pets that don’t die too easily and are able to hit moving targets.

No, in all seriousness, I really wish the Phoenix finds its way back into GW2.

Owl Griffon. Really cool looking pet, could be F2 knockdown, perhaps.
More and nice birds. Bald Eagle, Falcon, Hyacinth Macaw for the bigger ones, and a flock of three or four (acting as one pet) Sparrows!
