What build do you highlevel FotM rangers use?
Hey!
The question is in the topic, what build do you use for high level fractals?
Really need some help here
I know my friend runs Spirits + Clerics gear, but that’s 100% NOT the “Meta” build nor one you’ll PUG those levels with…. I’d imagine something along the lines of a zerker 30/25/0/15/0 or 30/30/10/0/0 would be what the meta one is…

Thank you Durzlla, sounds reasonable

Out of curiosity, do you know the general outline of that spirit build in terms of skills and traits? I’ve been experimenting with spirits in pve myself recently, but I’m still working on it and looking for various ideas.

I don’t know what it is exactly, but I know he has sun, storm, stone, has 30 in NM and is a power based build, I think he’s got 10 in WS for Healers Clerity since he talks about being “the Rez kitten” and then I’m -guessing- the rest are in marksman so between him and the MM they’ll have perma 25 vuln, but I’m not positive on that.

I’ve just started running 20/20/0/30 for level 26 and its working well.
Gear is knights/zerker.

So it would mean that the only reason for him to stack the healing power is the healing spring. I was curious whether he decided to keep Signet of the Wild for extra survivability. Interesting… I’ll have to experiment with this further.
Thanks for the answer Durzlla ;]

The reason he takes the healing spring (and thus healing power) is because him pair with the MM can hold off huge sections of mobs at once (so he’s told me), I guess they park those 2 on one side of the collosus arm and they just keep them at bay.

Regen stackin’ looks pretty solid for most of them. All Melee seems more than viable everywhere but Cliff (Stupid 1h Sword auto launching us off of stuff!!). I guess you’d want to be really careful with SB there too? …Nature voice Perma Swiftness was awesome for the Swamp runnin’. Could definitely see spirits being viable everywhere but the Grawl-cano.
We still got problem with Jade maw Pew’Pewing our Pets though who can’t pick up crystals (do the Devs even PLAY ranger??). So really no idea what to do there I guess except look for ‘sploits like up above^ till they fix it :p ….Mostly I think it all just comes down to getting really really good with melee. :p …probably even including dagger offhand?? (depends on your playstyle I guess and how ’glassy’ you are)

Don’t waste time with clerics at high end fotm, run zerker, make sure u have spotter trait and frost spirit/stone spirit w/ 70% proc rate trait, rest up to you. Weapon sets should include 1h sword ( make sure you have auto attack turned off) /warhorn, longbow /sb at the very least. Your most powerful utilities include entangle and muddy terrain. These two do not need any traits in traps, the aoe immobi is excellent for places like dredge and fire shaman, along with ascalon.

I actually did pretty much what you said there Swiftpaw, thanks for the verification
I went with zerker and 30/20/5/15/0 with spotter, the spirit trait, switching between piercing arrows and longer range on longbow (for bosses) and keep a longbow and sword/warhorn.
Not sure exactly what to pick in the skirmishing traitline though. I went with companions might and quick draw, maybe there are better options?
