The title is a trick question. Rangers never go anywhere alone.

I solo’d Caudecus Manor story mode on Saturday, and nearly finished Path 1 on Sunday. Some parts were extremly hard. It was a slow process (hours… I had never done this path before, ever). I took a ton of screenshots. Mostly clerics gear with 10/0/15/15/30. Someday I will try to finish.

I’ve been looking over your screenshots trying to figure out how you pulled this off. Mind answering a few questions?

Is the 10 marksman for signet mastery to reduce cooldown on the active effect of signet of stone? I see you keep that on your bar, but I don’t see it in cooldown anywhere. Are you using signet of stone mainly for the active, and signet of the wild mainly for the passive?

I’m guessing that your other adept traits are vigorous renewal (for more dodges hence more protection), nature’s bounty (as you mentioned 83% regen duration elsewhere), and shout mastery (more uptime on guard or sic ’em). Close? What are your other two picks from beastmastery, or do you swap them out with your pets?

You mentioned an attack bird on one of the clips. Are you using runes of the flock? Full set, or mixed with something for boon duration?

Enough nosy questions for now. Thanks for sharing that!

I don’t give out specific builds, but yes I generally wear Flock. It is cheap, it can heal spirits, and the little birdie has saved my life a number of times (even in down state).

No, I was not using Marksmanship for Signet Mastery. I took it for Malicious Training. I didn’t know what I would encounter, and that trait offers a lot of options from stacking weakness to crippling… can be defensive, controlling, and offensive all at the same time if you incorporate Expose Opening and Blood Thirst.

I heard that several people had solo’d low-level fractals… So I decided to try and solo through a fractal as a ranger. 0/0/25/25/20. The ending is kind of sad.

I can solo the battleground fractal on any level sub 10. I also was able to solo AC story mode (lovers was HARD). The trick there is axe and proper pet usage.

I’m pretty sure the water fractal is also completely soloable (but that jellyfish fight would make me cry with how long it takes).

I 2-manned honor of the waves story with a guardian friend. Haven’t tried any of the other dungeons yet.

Things I still want to attempt to solo: cliffside fractal (started it, beat first boss, but was tired), and a lot of AC explorer modes.

Things that I know are impossible to solo are CoF explorer path 1, Arah Story Mode, Grawl Fractal, and that is just off the top of my head.

I’m glad other Rangers are doing it to ! I was soloing Arah Path 3 and as soon as I figure out a solid way to solo Lupicus I’m going to try and make a video of it.

I did have some trouble positioning the first boss, but once I got it locked down it was easy and I could do it in berserker gear.

It’s possible and I’ve done it as well. Twice. But, I’m not giving out information that could potentially get us nerfed.

Gone to Reddit.

I considered that especially if any were able to solo Lupicus, but then again a warrior and rogue have solo’d that same boss and so far they have not gotten any nerfs (especially the warriors). Mind you I died a LOT especially in the positioning with the first boss. For some reason the two bosses didn’t reset and I don’t recall getting a poison AoE which I find confusing and I’m not quite sure how I got the hunter to not throw it down. It must of bugged in the many times that I was trying. – I also want to point out that a class with a shield or any number of blocks doesn’t need a pet to take aggro on the hunter as you can just block the crushers attack. The fight itself is ridiculously easy.

As for the second boss – don’t stand in red circles and you can LoS the leech health thing he does which (aside from the circles) is the most damaging attack.

I haven’t solo’d Arah since I took those screenshots. I just wanted to see if the “underpowered” ranger could do it.
