Hi there,
I just created a ranger and I’m a bit confused about pets… I chose a drake as my pet when creating my character. Is it so that I can collect every kind of pet animals I happen to come across? or can I tame just different kind of drakes?

If you press “K” you can see the kinds of pets you can tame. You will be able to tame pets around the world that have Juvenile in their name and they are green, so you cannot attack them. Just walk up to them and press “F”. If you want to know where to find a specific pet you can check the GW2 wiki. Exploring and finding them is fun, but world map completion takes some time.

Nothing that can hit anything.

On a more serious note, get canine animals in order to hit moving targets. (Players)

But you can get: canine, fish, moas, pigs, birds, jellyfish, bears, spiders, devourers, and drakes.
